Lucid Dreaming Techniques and Patience
Lucid dreaming is the experience of being in a dream, and suddenly realizing “wow - this is a dream!” At first it can be so exciting you just wake up, but over time the skill can be learned to remain in the dream.
What do you do from here? Explore, participate, investigate. You can focus on something you’d like to experience or a place you’d like to see. You can even find yourself back in the past, investigating your childhood bedroom with the eyes of an adult. Lucid dreaming is so variable, so it’s hard to day what it may be like for you.
So if you are frustrated that the lucid dreaming techniques are not paying off, relax and remember that this is a skill that will take a lifetime to master. First just focus on remaining self-aware as you walk about in the dream. Don’t try to control everything in sight. Over time, the ability to actualize intentions in lucid dreaming will become easier.
So, my advice is…. patience. And if you get so frustrated and want to throw in the towel, just relax. And sleep on it another night.
