Baby Carriers Outperform Strollers

Posted by

Our baby strollers are gathering dust at home and here’s why: baby carriers are much easier to use! Actually, carriers and baby slings outperform strollers in pretty much every arena. Let’s review.

Strollers are expensive, bulky, and, oh yeah, they can leave your baby vulnerable to baby snatchers in public. And besides all this, they don’t make running errands easy because your hands are never free.

Baby carriers, on the other hand, actually let you use both your hands, and arms too. The first time I snuggled up my baby into a baby carrier I could not believe how easy it was to do my shopping.

Baby carriers are safer for babies, because they are never out of your sight, not even for a minute. Also, babies love being so close and they are more likely to be happier (or napping!) if they are in physical contact with you in public. Some studies have even shown that babies grow faster when they are carried throughout the day, because the contact stimulates their eating as well as their well-being.

And as if you need any more reasons to kick your strollers to the curb, most baby carriers, such as Baby Bjorn carriers, are very affordably priced.

One caveat: strollers are still useful if you live close to a park and like to go jogging. This is actually the only reason I ever pull my stroller out of the garage.
