Teeth whitening will not make crowns, bridges, veneers, filling and bondings whiten as to the myth that if we undergo a teeth whitening everything will be whiten. Another misconception that we do is people at any age can whiten their teeth. Children and adults have a very large tooth nerve chamber and with this they may experience an increased in sensitivity and more likely may encounter problems , that is why teeth whitening is not being recommended by dentist.
Another misconception that commonly do have is that dentists are the only one can get our teeth to its maximum white. But it based on a certain,in study they had proven that teeth whitening done by a dentist and a home bleaching didn’t made any difference and both treatments resulted to a healthy gums. After a teeth whitening treatment the color of the teeth is not permanent, this contradicts with our misconception that if your teeth are already lighter then you don’t need to do it again. The stability of the teeth color depends on your dental hygiene and your consumption of foods or drinks that contributes to the staining of the teeth.
